To prove that I definitely deserved to take a break and make the ATC shown in my previous post, here is a picture of the 200 blocks of my newest quilt. It will be the last quilt I'm making for my upcoming exhibition colour - quilts - collage next year.
As the quilt will debut at that exhibition I won't be worrying about showing you pictures of it in progress and from this picture you certainly won't be able to tell what it will look like anyway. Even I won't know that yet, till I start to put the blocks together. A job I'm looking forward to!
I can't tell you what a relief it is to have them all sewn, the time was really dragging. In fact they were weighing me down (that's why I put them on scales for the picture!) and I was getting heartily sick of them myself but it has been done and right on schedule too!
The sewing them all together will be a lot more fun and the activity I'm looking forward even more than that is the quilting and the beading! I'll keep you updated about this quilt's progress over the coming weeks.

what a fantastic photo! I love how you placed all the blocks on the scale and took the weight of making them off your shoulders!! Excellent, amazing, and the start of something gorgeous I am sure. And to think, if all things go as planned which they should, I will see this quilt hanging at your solo exhibition next May when I visit you in Scotland!
yipppeeeeee!
I think you have shown how you feel about them perfectly!
How exciting now that you get to put them together! I can't wait to see it when it is done.
Hugs,
Terri
Congratulations on finishing all 200 blocks Frieda! I just know the finished quilt will be stunning and worth all your hard work. How lovely that Lenna will be able to see the exhibition in person.
