A bit of colour

Cabin fever had set in after spending almost a fortnight consigned to our house and lane. John did make it further afield occasionally but we didn't want to go out together as the weather conditions were so bad that there was a chance we wouldn't have been able to get back. And we could not possibly do that to the dogs and cat!!

John managed to get to the village (West Linton) from time to time, to get some vital supplies and collect our mail but I was suffering from shopping withdrawal symptoms. So we went out this morning, and after venturing into a West Linton with nowhere to park, icy roads and overrun shops, we settled on having a coffee and carrot cake in the organic farm down the road from us!

The view that greeted us on our arrival is shown above (it's also my blip for the day) and the show of so much gorgeous colour brightened my heart!

well, at least the organic farm is nearby as it looks like you could do a small amount of retail therapy there!! I had never seen their website before. It is quite extensive, thanks for sharing it! Looks like a friendly, yummy place.
