ATCs in Handmade with Love

A new magazine is hitting the news stands and the good news is that my Artist Trading Cards are featured inside. It will be readily available here in the UK and you might also be able to find it at Barnes and Noble in the US, but if not, there is the website which you can find here.

I love magazines! Oh how I love them. I don't even dare to add up just how many land in my mailbox every month but it's quite shocking! In fact, there are so many that I have trouble keeping up with reading them. How mad is that! Some I read the minute they arrive. Some I smell first, leaf through and then read at leisure. Some I have a quick look through, add poste-it notes to the pages I feel I should read, and will hopefully come back to, and partake off the information when I need to. In some I just look at the pictures.

So I really didn't need to subscribe to yet another one. But when Jane Rae (the editor of Handmade with Love) told me this one was coming out I decided I wanted to see what a new magazine on handmade items would be like. Hand making is quite the rage in these economic stressful times and as someone who has long reaped the mental and physical benefits of working with her hands I had to see what goodies Jane had managed to come up with in this new production.

And I'm so pleased that I have. The first issue is filled to the brim with gorgeous photography, delightful projects for both experienced and beginning crafters and artists and even the adverts (yes I know it's sad but I read those too and even worse buy stuff mentioned in them!) are beautifully presented. On lovely shiny paper. In full colour. And the ink smells good too! In fact the magazine is very much like a box of chocolates. Every article is a delightful surprise and there is something to appeal to everyone's taste.

If you're interested in Artist Trading Cards you can find a selection of mine on page 72. In about a month's time I'll share more with you. But you shouldn't wait! Just buy the first issue and you won't be disappointed.

I like magazines but have ceased buying so many. Not enough time to really enjoy them and read them. I will look for this one at the bookshop.
