You will have seen some of these cards before as they were part of the set of 9 that I made as my May Project for Stencilgirl® Products in my capacity as monthly Guest Designer. You can therefore find a step-by-step tutorial for theseon the Stencilgirl®Talk webpage. I am feeding all these cards gradually into my stream of numbered cards for each day of 2018.
I have temporarily stopped working on the prompt for Joggles Art Journal Adventure to participate in #thestencilfiedjournal as well as my 365 art cards. There is only time for so much and there is a quilt to be made too. I'm also thinking about new projects to come, but that won't happen till next year (and it's only June!).

In fact I tend to make them in sets as far as the backgrounds are concerned and then add details as and when I have time, trying to keep ahead of the day I need to upload them. It's fun!.

Apologies for the fact that the card bottom row right is on it's side. I only noticed it just now and wasn't inclined to re-photograph the set again because the sun is shining and the garden beckons!

Collaged Art Cards
The days and months seem to whiz passed at an alarming speed at the moment. It feels like only yesterday since I showed you my Stencilgirl® Project for April and here I am back with another one in May.
You can read all about how I made these cards and find a list of all the stencils on the Stencilgirl®Talk website today. All the materials I used can also be found there.
I thoroughly enjoyed making this set of 9 cards (and some more too while I was at it!) and the individual cards will be fed into the #365somethings2018 project on my Instagram feed one at a time. At that stage I will add their date and number. We have already reached the point where a third of the cards for the year are done.
I am so grateful to Stencilgirl® for giving me the opportunity on a monthly basis to share my work to a wider audience. The versatility of their stencils is amazing and I specially love being a member of the Stencilgirl®Club where you receive an exclusive set of stencils each and every month together with videos and PDFs showing how the artists that designed the stencils use them. Highly recommend you give it a go.

Art Cards 107 - 115
Here is the latest batch of nine artcards. They are part of my #365somethings2018 project on Instagram where I hope to end up with 365 cards, one for each day of 2018. If you want to see them appear individually each day you can find them all on my Instagram feed.
Most of these cards were also part of the project I did as monthly Guest Designer for Stencilgirl Products. You can therefore find a step-by-step tutorial for these on the Stencilgirl Talk website.
The above card (no. 111) has attracted quite a bit of attention on Instagram due to the use of the word Cholera. I found it in an 18th Century Apothecary's Notebook that I picked up very cheaply during a book sale. It was already falling apart so I didn't feel bad about using it for collage. I love the hand writing! The book is also a reminder that cholera was (and in some places still is) a very serious disease and many remedies were tried over the centuries to find a cure.

I have to say those nine days seem to fly past. Every time nine cards are ready to be shared here it takes me by surprise. And we have passed the 100 mark too. I need to grab 2018 by the neck before it too vanishes without trace!

Making Art Cards
Since I started making my 3 x 3" art cards for the #365somethings2018 project on Instagram I have had quite a few questions about how I made them. The answer varies as I'm using the cards as an opportunity to experiment with different materials and methods.
For this month's project as Guest Designer for Stencilgirl® I am showing you one of my methods and I am aiming to show you another one next month. You can find the link to my full step-by-step tutorial as well as the stencils I used here. It is amazing what can be achieved with just a few stencils.
These cards will be fed into my Instagram feed gradually so you will be able to see them there individually with a number for the day I post them, but here is an overview of the nine I feature on my tutorial. While working on them I also made more cards with the left over paints and the paint left on the stencils. It's amazing how quickly my collection of cards is growing.
More next month when I'm back again as Guest Designer for Stencilgirl® . You will notice that different methods and stencils can produce completely different cards!

I'm really enjoying how they all end up looking very differently. I make backgrounds usually in groups of 9 cards, then add collage, rubber stamping, stencilling etc. And then every day I finish one or more cards completely and stamp a day stamp on for the day I finish them. They go in a pot and then I select one to take out and post every day.

Art Cards 50 - 61
Here is the latest batch of art cards done as part of the #365somethings2018 project. I'm pleased to say I have now caught up on my Instagram feed and am posting each card on a daily basis on the day of the year it is. I will only reveal them here in batches of 9 or as in this case 12.
They are all sized 3 x 3" and I'm doing something every day on the cards, such as making backgrounds, stencilling, rubber stamping, adding collage etc. At the end of the year I hope to have 365 finished cards! For pictures of each individual card please follow me on Instagram.

My #365somethings2018 art card project continues and I'm almost at the stage where I can upload my daily 3 x 3" card on the day of the year it belongs too. That is what happens on my Instagram feed. Here on the blog you will be getting them in batches of nine whenever the opportunity arises.
